A Day to Remember <br />September 11, 2002 <br />WHEREAS, On Tuesday morning, September 11, 2001, terrorists attacked America in a series of <br />despicable acts of war; and <br />WHEREAS, the citizens of Louisville grieved along with our Nation at this unspeakable tragedy; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, we mourn those who have suffered great loss; and <br />WHEREAS, in tribute to the memory of our fellow citizens who lost their lives in the tragedy that <br />occurred in New York, Washington, D.C. and Pennsylvania; and to honor their <br />families and friends; and <br />WHEREAS, on September 11, 2002, the City of Louisville, the Louisville Chamber of Commerce <br />and American Legion Post No. 111 will host a commemorative ceremony and for the <br />promotion of global peace and goodwill and the advancement of responsible <br />citizenship. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that I, Tom Davidson, Mayor of the City of Louisville, <br />Colorado, do hereby proclaim September 11, 2002 as A Day to Remember in the City of Louisville <br />and urge all citizens to join us in remembering those lives lost and to never forget those innocent <br />victims. <br />Dated this 3rd day of September, 2002 <br />Tom Davidson, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Nancy Vera, City Clerk <br />
