"We need GC, builders, and developers to lead the <br />charge for net -zero construction which is run by <br />renewables. This will not happen overnight, but if <br />people within the industry are leading the charge, <br />then govemmen t policies are partners and not the <br />enemy. The climate crisis requires cooperation at ail <br />levels." <br />Payback time frame tolerances for upfront costs and onsite solar: <br />"1 am not interested in increasing upfront construction 10-20years" <br />costs for carbon reduction." <br />Geise and Berry asked if there was a way to get more building owner responses. <br />Schlaepfer and Betzhold responded that the Chamber of Commerce has also shared the survey in their emails as <br />well and that any ideas to get more feedback would be welcome since the survey would only be open for a few <br />more weeks. Betzhold also recommended that the Board members could forward the link to the survey to <br />business owners. <br />Geise asked if there were any other responses since the slides were created, and Betzhold added that there <br />were ten responses since the slides were created; nine residential respondents and one business owner. <br />Schlaepfer continued with the slides. <br />
