The presentation will include energy modeling and types of policy to be considered. A Public <br />Engagement Survey has been open since June, 2022 and is open through August 5, 2022. There was aslo a <br />community meeting at the end of June and the results were brought to the Sustainability Advisory Board on July <br />20, 2022. Comments from the Sustainability Advisory Board and the Buidling Code Board of Appeals will be <br />compiled and presented to City Council at the beginning of September and will receive direction from City <br />Council at that meeting. Geise is having trouble connecting. Betzold indicated that the beginning of the <br />presentation is an overview and if he missed the first few minutes he would not miss anything critical. <br />Schlaepfer introduced herself, Kantor, and McCollough. Schlaepfer explained the outline for the presentation: <br />high-level overview, modeling, and policy considerations and asking for discussion and feedback from the board <br />based on the options to be presented. <br />Schlaepfer shared her screen to show the Power Point presentation as printed in the meeting packet. <br />Schlaepfer explained the agenda: <br />Sustainability Goals <br />Current Adopted Code Review and Next Code Phase <br />Policy Options <br />Public Feedback <br />Discussion <br />Q&A <br />Results from Public and Board feedback will be used to draft an ordinance to City Council to be presented in <br />September. Once the final ordinance is ready, it will be shared with the BCBOA for a final consensus vote. <br />Betzold added that this is on City Council's work plan for 2022, under the area of Community Design and <br />specifically references Phase 2 of the Commercial Building Energy Code. <br />
