Historical Commission <br />Minutes <br />Sept. 21, 2022 <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />student video relating to the impacts of the Marshall Fire; and a copy <br />of "The Mix" school publication about the impacts of the Marshall Fire. <br />8. Leo Deborski — program for the 1948 state semi-finals football game <br />of Louisville High School vs. Eaton High School; small metal "football" <br />that was given to the members of the Louisville team that won the <br />state championship that year. <br />D. Advice sought on donations of other artifacts: No advice sought <br />Vill. Introduction of Jason Hogstad, Museum Associate — Volunteer <br />Services, to talk about his work for the Museum: Jason introduced <br />himself to the Commission and reported on his duties he performs for the <br />Museum. Jason's work focuses on volunteer management for the Museum, <br />split into three teams: special events, oral history program, and <br />miscellaneous (other Museum projects). In addition to volunteer <br />management, Jason gives tours, researches and writes about Louisville <br />history, is the Museum's representative to the City's EDI committee, works <br />on various Museum programs, and recently has been working on story <br />collection with respect to the Marshall Fire. <br />IX. Chair's Report: John informed the Commission that he was one of the <br />judges for the Labor Day parade, he attended the members appreciation <br />reception for the Louisville Signs of the Times exhibit, and he also attended <br />the vintage base ball game. <br />X. Pioneer Award - Selection of the 2022 and 2023 Pioneer Award <br />recipients (anticipated to be presented in 2023 at the annual Chamber <br />of Commerce event): The Commission discussed recipients for the 2022 <br />and 2023 award and decided to move the selections to November meeting. <br />XI. Louisville History Foundation update: No report <br />XII. Items of common interest with the Hist. Preservation Comm.: No report <br />XIII. Commission comments & discussion items for next meeting: <br />Pioneer award and the City council work plan <br />XIV. Close meeting & adjourn: The LHC meeting adjourned at 7:25 pm.
