Board and Commission requests for 2023 Work Plan: <br />Board of Adjustments <br />o As an advisory board of building professionals, the BCBOA be invited to consult and <br />participate in study sessions and meetings as a part of Community Design regarding <br />building code changes and energy code. <br />• Historic Preservation Commission (memo attached) <br />o A recommendation to add "Preservation Grant Amounts Update" to the City Council <br />Work Plan. Resolution 17, Series 2019 enumerates maximum grant amounts for <br />preservation projects, historic structure assessments, and other grant types, and the <br />HPC is interested in evaluating those amounts to ensure that they are effective as <br />incentives. City Council would need to review and approve or deny any proposed <br />changes to these grant amounts. <br />• History Foundation (none provided) <br />Open Space Advisory Board <br />o Develop a process of using and/or asking for OSAB's input before the design or <br />execution of any projects that impact trails or open space land. <br />o Work with OSAB on Open Space and Park Fund sales tax language and strategy. <br />o Commit to a public process that engages Council, the Board, and citizens in the <br />development of the new 2024 Open Space and Trails Master Plan with more granularity <br />and CIP ranking lists. <br />Parks and Public Landscaping Advisory Board <br />o Parks and Open Space tax initiative <br />o Capital median renovations and <br />o Smaller initiatives specific to park issues (like Bee -City USA) <br />• Planning Commission <br />o Old Town Overlay <br />o Open Space Zoning <br />o Comp Plan Update <br />o Dark Sky Lighting <br />• Recreation Advisory Board (memo attached) <br />o Support Council priorities to allocate operating funds for ongoing maintenance and <br />repairs for our tennis courts. <br />o Expedite the need for a pickleball facility and support the master planning and <br />identification of a location and funding for this outdoor recreation amenity. <br />o Continue with the process and work that has been completed with the feasibility study <br />and evaluate funding options for moving forward with the recommended <br />improvements. <br />o Support master planning to identify land and allocation for the purpose of soccer and <br />multi -purpose fields in the city. <br />o Continue to work in conjunction with our partners for the parking lot improvements and <br />funding. <br />o Continue support of operational budget funds for maintenance. <br />o Identify and support operational funds for a dedicated staff person for outdoor <br />recreation amenities. <br />• Revitalization Commission <br />15 <br />
