Historic Preservation Commission
Meeting Minutes
October 17, 2022
Dunlap asks if she is a part of the History Colorado organization.
Flewelling says it is a state agency but she does work for History Colorado.
Haley mentions that past preservation applicants have had questions about how
to apply the tax credit. A handout that greater explains how to go about the tax
process would be very helpful.
Flewelling says she has tax credit flyers she can send to staff. They also have
staff members at History Colorado that review the tax credits.
Dunlap says for the structure to apply for those credits, do they have to be
landmarked at the state or federal level?
Flewelling says one of the benefits is that local landmarks can apply for state
credits.
Brackett Hogstad gives the commission an update and shows a flyer about
recruitment. November 10th is the deadline. If we do not get any applications,
staff will take a look again in January. The plaque ceremony for 2022 is taking
place October 29th. Whoever wants to come can come. We will just publicly notify
it if more than two commissioners will be in attendance. We have two addresses
that have confirmed that we will be going to their properties for the ceremony.
November 7th we have our next meeting. This is in place of the November 21St
meeting.
Updates from Commission Members
None is heard.
Adjourn
This meeting adjourned at 7:42 PM.
7
