Youth Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />DATE <br />Page 2 of 3 <br />Hybrid Meetings — Info and Rules <br />• We will be using the Owl device to allow members of the public to <br />attend our meetings virtually. Board members who are sick may <br />use this option as well. Board members must attend in person if <br />they are able. <br />What constitutes a meeting? <br />• Must post agenda in advance, must meet in a public space, board <br />members cannot send mass emails to each other. You can send <br />something to Mandy or Jessica first, then we will share it. 3+ people <br />in person or via email constitutes a meeting if you are talking about <br />YAB business. <br />Officer Elections - Share speeches, and vote on Chair, Vice -Chair, and <br />Secretary <br />• Chair: Sam, Caitlin, and Stella all ran for Chair. Sam was elected. <br />• Vice -Chair: Arihant, Lily, Caitlin, Nate, Stella, and Sena all ran for <br />this position. Lily was the winner. <br />• Secretary: Max and Arihant both ran for this position. Arihant was <br />the winner. <br />2023 City Council Work Plan Recommendations <br />• Lighting for bike paths in open spaces <br />• Bike rental service (perhaps with electric bikes?) <br />• Arboretum drainage/repair <br />• Help for foreign language speakers (volunteer -based services) <br />• Community members teaching classes on topics with which they <br />have expertise. <br />• Bus shelters <br />• Raise the minimum wage to meet Colorado standards <br />• Playground/park maintenance <br />Annual Project — We did not have time to discuss this. <br />• Pet Mayor <br />• Discuss popular ideas from last month's brainstorming <br />
