<br />WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted from time to time certain bulldog and
<br />construction standards, and
<br />WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the Interest of the public health, safely and
<br />general weEare to adopt by reference thereto the 2021 edition of the International Energy
<br />Comenanon Code, and
<br />WHEREAS, the City of Louisville remains committed to its adopted goals to reduce
<br />energy consumption increase clear energy sources. and support the nansition to a
<br />boa-arbon community as outlined n the SusMoa0liry Action Plan and Resolution 25.
<br />Seines 2019.'A Resolution Setting Clean Energy and Carbon Reduction Goals'. and
<br />WHEREAS, reducing building energy consumption Is an effective strategy to reduce
<br />cornmunilywide energy consumption and increase longterm cost sayings for businesses,

<br />performance standards and building electrification to build a more resilient building stock
<br />and support future building electrification efforts pursued and businesses, and

<br />WHEREAS, the 2021 edition of the International Energy Conservation Code, with
