JR's concern is that if we need to change the questions on the form he is <br />not sure how long it takes to change it. <br />Mark asks what if someone does not need the whole $2K of funding. JR says he will <br />plan to include a solution to this in the written grant. <br />Need to decide if applicants can or can't apply for the same project as separate <br />artists. <br />Motion: Leah proposes that we add language to reflect that multiple applicants <br />for a single project are not allowed. <br />Second: Beth. <br />No dissents. LCC Programming update <br />- Information Item: 2023-2024 Programming Budget - will be clarified in January <br />- Discussion Item: General 2023 Programming goals/overview <br />- Cultural Caravan programming proposal - Leah says that we should decide <br />on this with the 2023 LCC group. <br />- Information Item: Fall 2022 LCC Programming <br />- 11/14/22 (Monday) "Indigenous History, Climate Change, and Climate <br />Solutions (Keely) - 55 people attended. Simple event. <br />- 12/14/22 (Wednesday) Cultural Mixtape (Grace)- no updates <br />14. Summer Concerts in the Park - Update <br />- Information Item: 2023 Summer Concert Subcommittee Update (Leah/JR/Beth)- Leah <br />asks if it is ok for the three of them to continue working on these and have it complete <br />by the end of the year. All agree. <br />Commitments for 2023: <br />- 6/15/22: Cultural Caravan - $2000 <br />- 6/22/22: That Eighties Band (80's tribute) - $1900 <br />- 6/29/22: Groove N Motion (Motown) - $1650 <br />- 7/13/22: Key Mondo - Leah has reserved them for $1500. <br />- 7/20/22: Selasee & the Fa Fa Family (Ghanaian/Reggae) - $1800 <br />Budget Considerations: <br />- Sound engineer quotes <br />- Opening Bands <br />- Food Truck vouchers <br />Action Item: Approve proposed budget for 2023 Summer Concerts. Leah says that we <br />are looking closer to $17k this year as opposed to $12k from 2022. <br />No Summer Concerts contracts have been sent - just on hold with the artists. <br />Mark about the 80s Band. JR says there are quite a few bands that want to perform, and <br />that judgment calls had to be made. Beth appreciated that Gregory came to talk to the <br />LCC and encourages the band to apply for 2024. <br />
