LL Cityof CITY COUNCIL COMMUNICATION <br />Louisville AGENDA ITEM 2 <br />COLORADO • SINCE 1878 <br />SUBJECT: DISCUSSION/DIRECTION — PARKS GENERAL MAINTENANCE <br />MANAGEMENT PLAN <br />DATE: JANUARY 24, 2023 <br />PRESENTED BY: ADAM BLACKMORE, DIRECTOR OF PARKS, RECREATION & <br />OPEN SPACE <br />ABBY MCNEAL, PARKS SUPERINTENDENT <br />SUMMARY: <br />In late 2021 the City awarded a contract to Studio CPG & Facility Engineering <br />Associates (FEA) to review the Parks Division maintenance and operating practices. <br />This process was conducted throughout 2022 and included reviews of service models, <br />resource allocations, staff and elected official survey and/or interview feedback, best <br />management practices and day-to-day operating procedures. <br />The methodology, findings and recommendations are presented by the contracted <br />consultants and City Staff for City Council review and discussion. <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />There is no fiscal impact with the presentation of this report. Future fiscal impacts would <br />result from policy or operational directives to enhance maintenance practices or adjust <br />staffing resources per the presented findings and recommendations. <br />PROGRAM/SUB-PROGRAM IMPACT: <br />Adjustments or revised maintenance procedures will have an impact on Parks <br />Maintenance Operations. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Review and discuss It is recommended that through discussion, directions and review <br />that the City Council accept the materials and recommendations provided by Studio <br />CPG, FEA and City Staff. <br />ATTACHMENT(S): <br />1.
