<br />AUDIENCE COMMENTS <br />REPORT BY HOWARD BERRY <br />COLORADO WATER CONFERENCE <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY REPORT <br />ORDINANCE #600 <br />FOSTER ET AL ANNEXATION <br />SECOND READING <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />ORDINANCE #601 <br />FOSTER ET AL ANNEXATION <br />SECOND READING <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />August 15, 1978 <br />Minutes - page 3 <br /> <br />Mr. Howard Berry gave a report on the Colo- <br />rado Water Conference stating that a <br />Resolution was passed supporting the <br />Foothills Water Project, in principle only; <br />that being that Federal Agencies should <br />not become involved in matters which are <br />in most part strictly local. <br />He gave a brief summary of other matters <br />that were discussed. <br /> <br />Attorney Joss read Ordinance #600 on se- <br />cond reading by title only. Mayor Waschak <br />opened the publkhearing. <br />Attorney Joss reported that the ordinance <br />and notice of public hearing were pro- <br />perly published in the local paper. <br /> <br />There were no comments from the audience <br />for or against the application. <br /> <br />Staff reported that the area is within <br />the comprehensive plan and does have the <br />1/6 contiguity required for annexation. <br />Also the area is being zoned agricultural. <br /> <br />There were no other comments, public hearing <br />was closed and Councilman Kilker moved <br />that Ordinance #600 be adopted. Se- <br />conded by Councilman Caranci. Roll call <br />Caranci yes, DiCarlo yes, DelPizzo yes, <br />Meier yes, Kilker yes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Attorney Joss read Ordinance #601 on se- <br />cond reading by title only. Mayor Waschak <br />opened the public hearing. <br />Attorney JOss reported that the ordinance <br />and notice of public hearing were pro- <br />perly published in the local paper. <br /> <br />There were no comments from the audience <br />for or against the application. <br />Staff reported that the area is within the <br />comprehensive plan and does have the 1/6 <br />contiguity required for annexation. <br /> <br />Attorney Joss stated that the one strip of <br />land within this annexation which was owned <br />by Mr. Tull is still included. He stated <br />that he received word from Mr. Erhart, Mr. <br />TullIs Attorney, that Mr. Tull wished to go <br />on record that they were neither for nor <br />against the application and were not included <br />as one of the petitioning parties. <br />
