<br />TOM BENSON - TRIP <br />TAX RELIEF IS POSSIBLE <br /> <br />TRACK INN LIQUOR <br />LICENSE RENEWAL <br /> <br />FOSTER, DANILOFF, SANTILLI, <br />EBERS & KING ANNEXATION <br />REQUEST <br /> <br />April 4, 1978 <br />Minutes - page 2 <br /> <br />Mr. Tom Benson requested that Council take <br />a position on the proposed ~% sales tax for <br />open space acquisition. <br />Council stated that they felt the City itself <br />should not take a position on the matter and <br />felt that every person interested should <br />try to talk with Mr. Benson or other re- <br />presentatives of TRIP. <br /> <br />Councilman Caranci moved that the Track Inn <br />liquor license be renewed. Seconded by <br />Councilman DiCarlo. <br />Council comments were as follows: <br />Councilman DelPizzo stated that he felt many <br />of the incidents happened outside the estab- <br />lishment and recommended that the owners <br />of the bar be more strict and telephone the <br />police when disturbances are beginning. <br />Councilman DiLorenzo stated that she was very <br />much appalled at the obscene language in <br />the establishment and felt that something <br />should be said. She also stated that she <br />was not happy with the police records. <br />Councilman DiCarlo stated that he was con- <br />cerned with one remark in the police report <br />where the bar tender told a party to go <br />into the back room for a drink if he wanted <br />one. Councilman DiCarlo stated that when <br />it is closing time there should not be any <br />more alcohol served. <br />Councilman Kilker stated that he was not <br />happy with all of the reports for the year <br />and recommended that the owners have better <br />control. <br />Councilman Meier stated that it is possible <br />for Council to call for a hearing to re- <br />voke the liquor license when there are prob- <br />lems involved and recommended that the <br />owners work at controlling the disturbances. <br />After comments roll call vote was taken on <br />the approval of the Track Inn liquor license <br />renewal. <br />Meier no, DiLorenzo yes, DiCarlo yes, Caranci <br />yes, DelPizzo yes, Kilker yes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Councilman DiCarlo moved that the request <br />for annexation of the Foster, King, Ebers, <br />Daniloff and Santilli properties be referred <br />to the Planning Commission for their review <br />and comments. Seconded by Councilman DiLorenzo. <br />Motion carried. The matter will be on the <br />April 11 agenda for Planning Commission <br />
