<br />March 21, 1978 <br />Minutes - page 5 <br /> <br />HUD APPLICATION <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated that the deadline is <br />May 15, 1978, and the matter needs to <br />be taken care of immediately. <br />Councilman Meier moved that the City <br />write a letter to LURA requesting that <br />they hold the necessary public hearings <br />and begin on the application. <br />Seconded by Councilman DiCarlo. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />SEWER DITCH <br />CENTAUR VILLAGE <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated that Centaur Village <br />is proposing some multi-family devel- <br />opments in the area where the City's <br />effluent ditch runs from the sewer plant. <br />They have suggested that they put in <br />a pipe and build a new ditch rerouting <br />the flow, estimating the cost to be <br />between $8,000 - 10,000 and they are <br />requesting that the City pay for the <br />cost of pipe of approximately $3,000. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that from the City's <br />standpoint, the benefit would be that <br />the pipe is sized for the total amount <br />of future development. <br />Also, this would help in the case of <br />children playing around it. <br />Attorney Joss stated that the City has <br />no record of an easement for the ditch. <br /> <br />Attorney Joss stated that if the City <br />would agree to have the ditch moved, <br />then we would receive an easement of <br />record for the pipe line location, and <br />Centaur would pay for the rerouting <br />and moving of the old ditch. <br />After discussion Councilman Caranci moved <br />that the City Attorney check further <br />to see if he can come up with more or <br />the matter. Seconded by Councilman <br />DelPizzo. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Councilman DiCarlo moved that the City <br />Administrator's report be accepted and <br />placed on file. Seconded by Councilman <br />Caranci. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS & <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Councilman Meier asked when Lake Park <br />was going to be cleaned up. <br />Staff reported that the contractor was <br />in and that they will begin to pour the <br />concrete along with cleaning up the <br />sidewalks.
