<br />CONTINENTAL VIEW ESTATES <br />CONTINUED <br /> <br />January 17, 1978 <br />Minutes - page 4 <br /> <br />City Planner Drumm stated that the impact <br />statement had been sent to various agencies <br />for their response. He stated that some <br />questions which were raised have been <br />taken care of also, the report from the <br />school planners states that the area in <br />question is not in the Louisville service <br />area, and the students would go to different <br />schools, then in Louisville. Mr. Drumm <br />stated that he also had a letter from <br />B.S.C.S. requesting that a fence be erected <br />between the two properties. <br />Councilman DelPizzo stated that the City <br />is working within its comprehensive plan <br />and the growth has been controlled growth <br />which is helping the City to get in <br />some larger stores which will be a bene- <br />fit the the community. Also, he stated <br />that even if the City does not growth <br />when the need to transport students from <br />different areas is needed our school may <br />very well be overcrowded. <br />Councilman Caranci asked about the water <br />situation. Mr. Drumm stated that the <br />area in question does not have any historical <br />water and the annexor was willing to supply <br />the either water or money proportional to <br />what was received in Hillsborough West. <br />Mr. Jack Haines, representing the applicant <br />stated that they are willing to negotiate <br />and will provide the city with water, cash <br />or a combination of both if some water is <br />available. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that what was concluded to <br />be an appropriate amount of water as com- <br />pared to the Hillsborough West annexation, <br />was 22 shares of Davidson Water. <br />Councilman Caranci asked about the plans <br />for drainage as it states that the drain- <br />age goes northeast; if this is true what <br />will happen with the pollution of the re- <br />servoir. Councilman Kilker concurred, he <br />wanted to know how the problem is planned <br />to be solved. <br />Mr. Drumm stated that the engineers have <br />looked into the problem and feel that it <br />can be corrected; however, no reals plans <br />as to how have been decided upon as the <br />applicant is not required to solve the <br />problem, but should be aware as to the <br />possibility of correction. <br />Councilman DiCarlo asked what would happen <br />if the City does not like the method of <br />solving the problem.
