Approval of Vaughn & DeMuro Retention Letter <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON THE <br />AGENDA <br />The Council presented Deputy City Manager Davis with a gift and cake to thank her for <br />her time as Acting City Manager. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />City Manager Jeff Durbin thanked Council and staff for the support while he was out. He <br />also thanked everyone for the Labor Day Parade and events. <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1838, SERIES 2022 — AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 15, <br />TITLE 16, AND TITLE 17 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE CONCERNING <br />FENCE REGULATIONS WITHIN PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENTS — 2No READING <br />— PUBLIC HEARING (advertised Daily Camera 8/7/22) <br />Mayor Stolzmann introduced the item and asked for disclosures; seeing none she <br />opened the public hearing. <br />Planning Manager Lisa Ritchie stated this ordinance would amend Planned Unit <br />Development (PUD) standards regarding fencing. While research is still ongoing, it <br />appears that one of the major factors in the spread of the Marshall Fire was wooden <br />fences. While the City has not adopted any Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) standards, <br />this draft ordinance would apply city wide and exempt a property owner from installing <br />fencing of combustible materials within 5 feet of the residence. <br />
