6 City.C) <br />Louisville <br />COLORADO • SINCE 1878 <br />City Council <br />Economic Vitality Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />Friday, January 27, 2023 <br />Regular Meeting <br />Prior to the meeting, Chair Leh requested a moment of silence in observance of <br />Holocaust Remembrance Day. <br />1. Call to Order: Chair Leh, called the meeting to order at 1:34 PM. <br />2. Roll Call: The following members of the City Council were present: Chair Leh, <br />Councilmember Fahey, and Councilmember Most. Also present were Economic <br />Vitality Specialist Austin Brown, Community Development Director Rob <br />Zuccaro, and City Manager Jeff Durbin. Nine members of the public were <br />present. <br />3. Approval of Agenda: Councilmember Fahey made a motion to approve the <br />agenda as presented. The motion was seconded by Chair Leh. Motion passed. <br />4. Approval of Meeting Minutes: Councilmember Fahey made a motion to <br />approve the meeting minutes of December 16, 2022. The motion was seconded <br />by Chair Leh. Motion passed. <br />5. Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda: Mike Kranzdorf asked <br />whether the EVC could share any updates about the City Council Ward 3 <br />vacancy. Chair Leh responded that there are seven applicants who will be <br />interviewed on January 31. Candidate information is available online. Chair Leh <br />also shared that Councilmember Kyle Brown may resign from City Council if he <br />is appointed to the House District 12 seat. This would create a second Ward 3 <br />vacancy. It is unclear at this time how Council would choose to fill the second <br />vacancy. <br />6. Discussion/Direction- Economic Vitality Committee Work Plan: City <br />Manager Jeff Durbin led the EVC through a brainstorming session intended to <br />identify a new purpose statement for the EVC. All three members of the EVC <br />and the nine members of the public in attendance all participated in the <br />exercise. The group was asked to write down words, statements, or ideas that <br />represent the EVC. City Manager Durbin then compiled the responses and <br />condensed them into 15 different ideas.
