EXHIBIT A <br />City of Louisville E-bike Pilot Program Overview <br />Attached to the Intergovernmental Agreement Between the City of Louisville and the City of Lafayette <br />Regarding the E-Bike Pilot Program dated April 4, 2023 <br />The City of Louisville is excited to pilot an e-bike (electric bike) rebate program to promote biking as a <br />main form of transportation within the community. With more than 300 days of sunshine, Louisville is a <br />great place to strap on a helmet and replace daily car trips with biking! <br />Eligible a -bikes are electric bicycles with rechargeable batteries that travel up to speeds of 20 mph. <br />When you use an a -bike you can: <br />o Save hundreds of dollars per year on fuel and maintenance costs <br />o Improve your physical health without arriving at your destination in a sweat <br />o Get an extra boost in rough terrain and long distances <br />o Reduce your carbon footprint by replacing car trips to run errands or commuting to work <br />Apply online starting April 3, 2023, for your chance to receive a point -of -sale rebate to purchase a <br />qualifying e-bike at select local retailers. <br />Eligibility: <br />To apply you must: <br />o Be a resident of Louisville <br />o Be 18 years of age or older <br />o Provide proof of residency <br />o Louisville water utility bill <br />o Xcel bill <br />Limit one e-bike rebate per household. <br />Rebate Amounts: <br />All rebates will be paid directly to participating retailers and will be honored at point -of -sale when <br />recipients purchase an eligible a -bike. <br />o Standard rebate: $300 <br />o Income -qualified rebate: $600 <br />The rebate amount is applied to the retail cost of the e-bike, it will not be applied to taxes or shipping. <br />To be eligible for an income -qualified rebate you must provide proof of enrollment in one of the below: <br />Docusign Envelope ID: CCF1853D-1018-437B-8033-ED09A1B44ECE <br />
