o a motor of 750 watts or less <br />o two or three wheels <br />o fully operable pedals <br />There is no minimum or maximum purchase price. <br />Please note: full suspension mountain and gas -powered bikes are not eligible for Louisville's e-bike <br />rebate program. <br />Where can I ride my E-Bike? <br />In Colorado, electric bicycles are regulated in the same way as traditional bicycles. You must follow the <br />rules of the road. Here in Louisville, City Council approved an ordinance amending the Louisville <br />Municipal Code to allow Class 1 and Class 2 e-bikes on all streets and trails unless specifically prohibited <br />with signs posted giving such notice. <br />Timeline: <br />The City of Louisville is excited to pilot an a -bike rebate program for residents. Below is a timeline for <br />the 2023 program. <br />o April 3: Application for an a -bike rebate opens <br />o April 29: Visit Lafayette's Earth Day Every Day to test drive e-bikes from a participating retailer <br />and apply in person for a rebate <br />o May 5: Application for an a -bike rebate closes <br />o May 15: Applicants are notified if they received an e-bike rebate <br />o June 21: Applicants are encouraged to participate in Bike to Work Day and stop by Louisville's <br />City Hall breakfast station for a photo at 7:30am <br />Applicant Notification: <br />The City of Louisville anticipates several applications for e-bike point -of -sale rebates from interested <br />residents. There is no limit on the number of applications, instead, the City will select recipients via a <br />lottery system as there are a limited number of rebates available for the pilot program. Priority will be <br />given to income -qualified residents. As a reminder, these are point -of -sale rebates that participating <br />retailers will honor for selected applicants. <br />E-Bike Safety Class: <br />The City of Lafayette and Louisville have partnered with Community Cycles to offer a local e-bike safety <br />class during the summer.
