The context lists the
style as National, a folk style popular between the 1850s and 1930s enabled by the
expansion of railroads and access to cheaper lumber, combined with the simple, older
forms of previous decades. The National style has many different forms, and often
displayed simple form and ornamentation, as is evident in the form of the house in the
Assessor's Card. The footprint of the house appears to be largely unchanged from the
Assessor's Card.
Assessor's Card from 1948.
