KRONER, AICP <br />1 1 <br />'_EADER I TEAMMATE I PLACEMAKER <br />CAREER OBJECTIVE <br />Obtain a challenging and dynamic position as a Community Economic Development professional, allowing me to <br />utilize my technical expertise, project management experience, interpersonal skills, and leadership abilities for the <br />betterment and progress of the community I serve. <br />CAREER SUMMARY <br />Community planning and economic development professional with over 20 years of experience, including public and <br />private sectors. Well-rounded, energetic, collaborative, and progressive leader experienced in developing and <br />implementing community development initiatives with focus on economic development planning, zoning, building <br />inspection, code enforcement, historic preservation and sustainability programs to achieve community goals. Willing <br />to challenge assumptions, try new things, be innovative, and encourage my teammates to do the same. Ability to <br />effectively communicate and interact with community and business leaders, government officials, peers, and the <br />overall community at large through multiple platforms, resulting in the formation of cooperative relationships. Key <br />achievements in various program areas over the years include: <br />Managed the Community Planning & Economic Recovery Committee for Summit County in response to the <br />COVID pandemic, in addition to regular Planning Director duties. Included leading a group of major business <br />stakeholders across industry sectors and diverse ethnic backgrounds to address needs, provide support, and <br />balance the economic issues in the County with the public health needs. This committee worked hard to find <br />creative solutions to help sustain business viability during this pandemic, and to keep the community informed. <br />• Managed/directed completion of the City of Ashland's Comprehensive Plan, Authentic Ashland 2035, as well as <br />the City's 5-year Economic Development Strategy; managed consultants through final half of the Town of Eagle's <br />Comprehensive Plan and directed the Land Use Code rewrite project. <br />Initiated implementation of the Manitowoc Downtown Master Plan including: creation and administration of <br />new Downtown Facade Renovation Grant Program; developed new Downtown Wayfinding Signage program; <br />managed design and build -out of waterfront community event/concert space; implemented recommendations <br />of the Downtown Parking Analysis; managed reorganization of the Downtown Manitowoc organization for <br />greater involvement and financial sufficiency. <br />• Managed the City of Neenah's sustainability program, including serving as co-chair of the citizen Sustainable <br />Neenah Committee. Responsible for initiating and completing installation of a 50kW solar PV system at the <br />municipal garage to offset 25% of the facility's energy use, the largest in the region at the time, and obtaining <br />grant funding to offset costs. <br />Successfully negotiated financial incentives and provided development assistance for a new business to reuse a <br />substantial -sized vacant industrial building/site, $30M investment and committed to over 250 jobs into the <br />community by 2021. <br />LEADERSHIP STYLE <br />I practice a values -based leadership style which is characterized by: <br />-mnn1n1ormont • Anthontirity a Fthirnl Intoarity e Humility a Pion • Rocilionry <br />I take pride in leading teams and mentoring individuals with a positive attitude, and by exemplifying my core values, <br />resulting in stronger relationships and higher levels of performance.
