3. it <br />Declining K-12 <br />and College Enrollment <br />The Denver Metro birth rate has fallen since 2012, and now elementary <br />and secondary schools are consolidating to account for the decline <br />in student enrollment. Enrollment in Louisville's K-12 schools is also <br />declining. Regionally, four-year universities will struggle to maintain <br />student populations by 2030 due to increased competition from trade <br />schools and community colleges. For example, CU Boulder and CSU <br />saw declining enrollment from 2019 to 2023.
