Full-time supervisors <br />have had to cover some lifeguard shifts, but more applicants will be coming <br />online soon. RAB members expressed appreciation for the pool staff and <br />their success in keeping the pools open. <br />Memory Square will open on May 15 for the Dolphins Swim Team to start <br />practices. The regular opening for the pool will be May 26, after the end of <br />the school year. There will be special Youth Splash Nights for students in <br />designated grades, both at the beginning and end of the summer. <br />The pool schedule will be very similar to the previous year. Swim lessons will <br />be scheduled at the Rec Center, but mini private lessons will be held at <br />Memory Square. The pool is available for rentals. <br />Paul presented temperature guidelines that clarify when the pool will close. <br />In general, the pool will close when the temperature forecast is below 65°, <br />although this will not always affect lap swimming. Patrons can sign up for <br />text alerts that tell when the pool is closed due to weather. <br />Kathy Martin added that the boiler will be replaced before opening. A new <br />filter was installed last year. <br />Marketing Plan Update <br />Ginger Cross, the Marketing Specialist for Parks, Recreation and Open <br />Space, showed the calendar that she maintains to keep track of everything. <br />She provides information to the public in print, online and in emails. <br />Ginger has been encouraging additional auto -renewal memberships at the <br />Rec Center. The summer catalog information comes out soon, and the <br />information is also available in Spanish. Ginger sends monthly emails to the <br />golf community to promote season passes and the many available <br />programs. For National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) month in <br />July, a Flat Stanley -type project will showcase Parks and Recreation jobs, <br />programs, and amenities. In addition, Ginger has highlighted Louisville <br />Senior Center programming in Prime Time and 50 Plus Marketplace. <br />Q4 Dashboards <br />David Baril reported that Coal Creek Golf Course exceeded budget <br />expectations, even with fewer playable days and rounds. <br />• Fall is typically one of the best times for the golf course, thanks to <br />predictable weather. <br />• The golf course has been absorbing additional costs due to Marshall <br />Fire remediation and repairs, with hopes that insurance, the State of <br />Colorado, and/or FEMA may provide additional funds. <br />
