Full-time supervisors have had to cover some lifeguard shifts, but more applicants will be coming online soon. RAB members expressed appreciation for the pool staff and their success in keeping the pools open. Memory Square will open on May 15 for the Dolphins Swim Team to start practices. The regular opening for the pool will be May 26, after the end of the school year. There will be special Youth Splash Nights for students in designated grades, both at the beginning and end of the summer. The pool schedule will be very similar to the previous year. Swim lessons will be scheduled at the Rec Center, but mini private lessons will be held at Memory Square. The pool is available for rentals. Paul presented temperature guidelines that clarify when the pool will close. In general, the pool will close when the temperature forecast is below 65°, although this will not always affect lap swimming. Patrons can sign up for text alerts that tell when the pool is closed due to weather. Kathy Martin added that the boiler will be replaced before opening. A new filter was installed last year. Marketing Plan Update Ginger Cross, the Marketing Specialist for Parks, Recreation and Open Space, showed the calendar that she maintains to keep track of everything. She provides information to the public in print, online and in emails. Ginger has been encouraging additional auto -renewal memberships at the Rec Center. The summer catalog information comes out soon, and the information is also available in Spanish. Ginger sends monthly emails to the golf community to promote season passes and the many available programs. For National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) month in July, a Flat Stanley -type project will showcase Parks and Recreation jobs, programs, and amenities. In addition, Ginger has highlighted Louisville Senior Center programming in Prime Time and 50 Plus Marketplace. Q4 Dashboards David Baril reported that Coal Creek Golf Course exceeded budget expectations, even with fewer playable days and rounds. • Fall is typically one of the best times for the golf course, thanks to predictable weather. • The golf course has been absorbing additional costs due to Marshall Fire remediation and repairs, with hopes that insurance, the State of Colorado, and/or FEMA may provide additional funds.
