Recreation Advisory Board <br />Minutes <br />March 27, 2023 <br />Page 4 of 4 <br />Board members would like clarification about the possibility of repairing the <br />tennis/pickleball court at Mission Green. Gene reported that the east court at <br />Centennial Park is potentially dangerous, because the cracks in the surface <br />have widened substantially. <br />The Outdoor Rec Subcommittee is on hold. The Parks and Public <br />Landscaping Board (PPLAB) has not yet replaced an outgoing <br />subcommittee member. In addition, subcommittee members need to know <br />how their ideas can move forward within the Master Plan process. <br />Michele reported that pickleball nets on wheels are much easier to manage <br />than the current pickleball nets. <br />Board members expressed frustration about the difficulty of both repairing <br />current facilities and making progress toward creating new facilities. <br />Deb Fahey reported that the City is in an uncertain financial position after <br />making repairs related to the Marshall Fire. Nobody knows what the State <br />will pay, what insurance will pay, or what FEMA will pay. <br />Work Plan <br />Lisa presented the RAB Work Plan.
