wnrn
Louis Zinge passed away in 1957. In his will dated 1953, he left the five Tots (and his television
set) to his three minor children, who were Lois, James Roger, and Barbara. He left the
remainder of his property to his wife, Mary.
The executors of his estate at that point divided up the five lots into two parcels. In 1958, they
sold the parcel with the 516 Lincoln house to Alvin and Mary A. Varra, then they sold the parcel
containing the side yard. In 1961, the house at 508 Lincoln was constructed on the side yard.
Varra Family Ownership, 1958-1967
Alvin and Mary A. Varra purchased 516 Lincoln in 1958. In 1965, they conveyed ownership to
Alvin's parents, Albert and Elizabeth Varra.
Merkling Family Ownership, 1967-1973
Fred and Velma Merkling purchased 516 Lincoln in 1967 and lived there. They sold it in 1973.
4
