To summarize, although the available evidence indicates that the house at 555 County Rd. was
moved there before 1950, there is no available information on its original construction date.
Maggie Africh Ownership of Property (1954-1980)
Upon Tom Milo's death in 1954, Maggie Sparks Vinson Africh (1896-1980), who was widowed,
purchased 555 County Rd. and moved to it. Her children and grandchildren lived nearby in
Louisville and Boulder. She passed away in 1980.
Later owners
Harold and Rosemary Bennett owned 555 County Rd. from 1981 until Garrett Mundelein &
Patricia Morgan acquired it in 2000. Records indicate that the Bennetts rented it out. Another
structure, which the County Assessor lists as having been built in 2001, stands on the back of
the property. Garrett Mundelein platted 555 County and the area around it as the Parbois Place
in 2009. Two homes on either side of 555 County Rd. have been previously demolished.
The preceding research is based on a review of relevant and available online County property records, census
records, oral history interviews, Louisville directories, and Louisville Historical Museum maps, files, obituary
records, and historical photographs from the collection of the Louisville Historical Museum.
5
