GROUND PLAN SKETCH <br />'NOUGAT{ •ToajtU <br />FRONT <br />Mabel Ostrander passed away in 1954. According to the Louisville Times on Sept. 16, 1955, a <br />vocational agricultural teacher in Louisville schools named Kenneth Scherer then rented and <br />lived at 741 Lincoln in 1954-55. <br />Thomas Family Ownership (1955-1962); Lawrence Family Ownership (1962-1994) <br />Ralph and Matilda Thomas owned this home from 1955 to 1962, renting it to Norris and Janice <br />Olson. In 1962, it was purchased by Leonard Lawrence (1918-1993) and Clara Ziliotti Lawrence <br />(1924-1989), who had four children. The Lawrence family was one of many English mining <br />families that settled in the Louisville area in its earliest years. Leonard grew up nearby on <br />McKinley Avenue in Louisville. The Lawrence family owned the house for over thirty years, until <br />1994. <br />5 <br />
