FOCUS GROUP REPORT: Physical and Mental Health and Well-Being
Carol Purfurst, Chair July, 2009

1. The Social Dance group continues to meet Tuesday afternoons at 2 PM. Our
latest project is learning to tap dance. There is even a proposal that a dance could
be prepared for the Labor Day Parade float.

2. The Bloomin' Senior group continues to blossom. Three large pots were planted
and placed near the entrance to the Senior Center. Other plantings were added to
the existing beds. The members have determined a watering schedule to keep
all the plants looking their best. The group is meeting the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of
each month and combining work days and topical discussions. Special thanks are
due to Rich Cohen and Mary Mulcahy for their leadership.

Katie Beasley submitted a proposal for Creating Our Future grant. We will
receive $1900 for help with the Bloomin' Seniors project.

Focus Group Members: Carol Purfurst, Richard Cohen, Ruth Cohen, Cordelia
Condelario.
