<br />ORDINANCE #557 & #558 <br />CONTINUED <br /> <br />ORDINANCE #557 - VOTE <br /> <br />ORDINANCE #558 - VOTE <br /> <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT <br />STEVE ANDERSON - ELDERLY <br />HOUSING UNITS <br /> <br />June 21, 1977 <br />Minutes - page 5 <br /> <br />Councilman Caranci asked Mr. Hausman if <br />he had any plans to improve So. Boulder <br />Road. <br />Mr. Hausman stated that they would work <br />with the staff on the matter. <br />Councilman Domenico stated that the <br />parties who opposed the annexation have <br />not been here all their life and don't <br />know what type of town it was before the <br />City had some growth to suuply parks <br />and facilities to the citizens of the com- <br />munity. <br />He also stated that the commercial business <br />is needed and that the tax money of the <br />shopping areas should be kept within the <br />community if at all possible or we may <br />well become a part of Boulder. <br />Councilman DelPizzo stated that in getting <br />commercial business within the City is <br />important as there are many elderly <br />people who can't afford to or have trans- <br />portation to Boulder or nearby communities <br />to purchase their necessities. <br /> <br />With no other comments the public hearing <br />was closed. <br />Councilman Domenico moved that Ordinance <br />#557 be adopted. Seconded by Councilman <br />DelPizzo. Roll call. DiCarlo no, Caranci <br />yes, DiLorenzo yes, McDonald yes, <br />DelPizzo yes, Domenico yes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Councilman MCDonald moved that Council <br />adopt Ordinance #558. Seconded by Coun- <br />cilman Domenico. Roll call. DiCarlo no, <br />Caranci yes, DiLorenzo yes, McDonald yes, <br />DelPizzo yes, Domenico yes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />With no more to report, Councilman Caranci <br />moved that the City Attorney's report be <br />accepted and placed on file. Seconded by <br />Councilman Domenico. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Steve Anderson briefed Council on the <br />progress of the elderly housing project. <br />He stated that what is needed now is the <br />authorization for the Mayor to sign the <br />purchase contract and final application. <br />Councilman McDonald moved that the Mayor <br />be authorized to sign the purchase contract <br />and final application subject to the City <br />Attorney's review and approval. <br />
