April 5, 1977 MINUTES .- page 4 CITY ATTORNEY REPORT ORDINANCE #532 MAS SAGE PARLORS SECOND READING City Attorney Joss read the ordinance on second reading by title only. Councilman DiLorenzo moved that Ordinance #532 be acbpted. Seconded by Councilman McDonald. Councilman DiCarlo moved that the ordinance be amended by removing the word "Appren- tice" and any other use of the word appren- tice within the ordinance. Seconded by Councilman McDonald. Roll call on amend- ment. Domenico yes, Caranci yes, DiLorenzo yes, DelPizzo yes, McDonald yes, DiCarlo yes. Motion carried. Councilman DelPizzo stated that the fees were too high and should be set in line with all other types of professions; i. e. dentists, doctors, barbers, and also that the individual should be licensed and not the business. Councilman DelPizzo moved that an amendment be made on the motion, that the license fees be equivalent to that of similar professions. Seconded by Councilman DiCarlo. Roll call. DelPizzo yes, DiCarlo yes, DiLorenzo no, McDonald no, Caranci no, Domenico no. Motion for amendment defeated 4-2. Roll call was then taken on the motion to adopt Ordinance #532 with the "apprentice" amendment. Domenico yes, Caranci yes, DiLorenzo yes, DiCarlo no, DelPizzo no, McDonald yes. Motion carried. ORDINANCE #533 ANNEX SEWER PLANT PROPERTY Attorney Joss read Ordinance #533 on second reading by title only. Councilman DiCarlo moved that Ordinance #533 be adopted. Se- conded by Councilman DelPizzo. Roll call. McDonald yes, DiLorenzo yes, Caranci yes, DelPizzo yes, Domenico yes, DiCarlo yes. Motion carried. ORDINANCE #538 MODEL TRAFFIC CODE FIRST READING All members of Council had before them a copy of Ordinance #538 for their review and file. Attorney Joss read Ordinance #538 by title only on first reading. Councilman McDonald moved that the ordinance be amended under section 26-2 and 26-3; the speed limit from Highway 42 to Main St. on So. Bldr. Rd. be increased from 30 M.P.H. to 40M.P.H. making it consistent with the rest of So. Bldr. Rd. Seconded by Councilman DiLorenzo. Roll call, Caranci no, Domenico no, DiCarlo yes, DelPizzo yes, McDonald yes, DiLorenzo yes. Motion carried.
