<br />BI-CENTENNIAL REQUEST <br />CONT'D <br /> <br />requesting a letter of guarantee from the <br />City that they would cover the balance due <br />to complete the project, should the need <br />arise. <br />She also stated that the minimum amount of <br />money needed to cover the project was $5,250. <br />She stated that the committee has several <br />projects in store to help raise more money, <br />but would like backing from Council to help <br />out if needed. <br />After discussion Councilman DelPizzo moved <br />that Council insure the committee that <br />the needed amount will be supplied to <br />complete the cost of the project if needed. <br />Seconded by Councilman DiCarlo. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that he has contacted the <br />state for funding and feels there is a <br />possibility of the committee receiving <br />some money from the state. <br />After comments roll call was taken on <br />the motion. Domenico yes, DiLorenzo <br />abstained due to involvedment with the <br />committee, Caranci yes, DiCarlo yes, <br />McDonald yes, DelPizzo yes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Chairman Bob Ross addressed Council in <br />regards to the appointing of alternates to <br />the board. He stated that the suggestions <br />for alternates were Mr. Reed, Mr Ray <br />Caranci and Mr. Wortham. <br />Attorney Morris stated that it was his <br />opinion that since Mr. Caranci did not <br />reside within the City he did not feel he <br />was eligible to be a member of the board. <br />Council requested that any appointments <br />be tabled until Attorney Morris has checked <br />on an outside party serving on the board. <br />Councilman Caranci pointed out that Mr. <br />DelForge, who serves on the LURA board was <br />not a resident of the City. Staff stated <br />that Mr. DelForge had been serving on <br />the board before it was put under the con- <br />trol of the City. <br />It was agreed by Council that the matter <br />be tabled until April 20, 1976, when re- <br />quirements for residency were known. <br /> <br />BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS <br /> <br />LIBRARY BOARD GRANT <br /> <br />Mrs. Eileen Hogg representing the Library <br />Board requested that the Council authorize <br />the Mayor to sign the Library - County <br />Agreement pertaining to funding for the <br />She stated that the Board was not happy <br />with the contract and they had been in <br />contact with the County Commissioners. <br /> <br />-4- <br />
