After discussion Councilman <br />Domenico moved that the Mayor be authorized <br />to sign the agreement between the County <br />and Louisville Library board. Seconded <br />by Councilman DiLorenzo. Motion carried. <br /> <br />KEITH HELART - PARKS <br />PICK UP-REQUEST <br /> <br />Mr. Keith Helart stated that the truck <br />being requested will be operated by City <br />crew who do maintenance on the parks and <br />for transporting the needed equipment; <br />however, the Louisville Parks Dept. will <br />be stenciled on the doors of the truck. <br />The truck will be paid by the Parks & <br />Recreation departments. <br />Councilman McDonald asked why the vehicle <br />would have to be lease and why it could <br />not be purchased outright. <br />Mr. Helart stated that under budgeting there <br />were not sufficient funds budgeted to pay <br />for the vehicle outright. <br />It was stated that an attempt will be made <br />to put a clause in the agreement which will <br />enable the City to make full payment on <br />the truck if and when it is possible. <br />The purchasing funds will come out of the <br />expansion fund. <br />Cost of vehicle is approximately $3,680.50. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that he wanted to incor- <br />porate the lease of the pickup with the <br />police vehicle, which would save the cost <br />of drafting and publicizing two separate <br />ordinances. <br />Councilman DiCarlo stated that although he <br />was not against the purchase of the pickup, <br />he would have to vote against the approval <br />due to the fact that it would be put under <br />the same ordinance as the purchasing of <br />a new police vehicle. <br />After discussion Councilman Caranci moved <br />that the Council authorize the purchase of <br />a pick up in the amount of $3,680.50 through <br />a leasve agreement with Preferred Leasing <br />in the amount of $125.00 per month, paid <br />by the Parks & Re~ department. Seconded <br />by Councilmand DelPizzo. Roll call on <br />motion. Caranci yes, DiCarlo no, DelPizzo <br />yes, McDonald yes, DiLorenzo yes, Domenico <br />yes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />-5- <br />
