CODE ENFORCEMENT CONTID MEETING REPRESENTATIVE FIRE DEPARTMENT PIT PLANTER AT PARKING LOT SO. OF CITY HALL TRAFFIC DIRECTION Mr. Wurl stated that it is up to Coun- cil to decide what they want an ordi- nance to classify as junk and inform the Code officer accordingly. Councilman DiCarlo stated that it seems that the Code enforcing is not covering many areas; but centering around several specific ones. Councilman McDonald stated that she felt it would be a good policy to have ques- tions like this brought to Mr. Wurl in advance of the meeting so he can get together needed information on the subject to help get the problems resolved. Councilman DiLorenzo stated that she would not be able to attend the County Planning Commission meeting on March 17, and would like an alternate appointed to attend the meeting and get any data that is distributed. Mayor Waschak appointed Mr. White to attend the meeting for Mrs. DiLorenzo. Councilman Domenico asked the status of the pit at the fire department. Engineer White stated that there has not been anything done as yet. Councilman Domenico stated that people have stated that the planter should have been set back two feet and also that it was on the Austin property line. Engineer White stated that the planter is not on the Austin property line and the reason it was placed on the City property line was to have maximum usuage of the parking lot. Mr. Wurl stated that in commercial areas, structures can be up to the property line. Councilman Domenico stated that the City requests that the gentleman who has been directing traffic at the corner of Main & Spruce Street during emergency calls should be instructed to discon- tinue his service. Mr. Wurl stated that he thought the person was part of the fire department and would check into the matter further. -4-
