RESOLUTION NO. 63 <br />SERIES 2023 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONSERVATION EASEMENT FOR THE FRONT <br />FACADE AND FIRST TEN (10) FEET OF THE PRIMARY STRUCTURE ON THE <br />PROPERTY LOCATED AT 601 LINCOLN AVENUE IN EXCHANGE FOR A $30,000 <br />GRANT <br />WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the City Council an application requesting <br />the granting of a conservation easement for the front fagade and first ten (10) feet of the <br />historical primary structure on the property located at 601 Lincoln Avenue, a property <br />legally described as Lots 9-10, Block 10, Pleasant Hill Addition, City of Louisville, State <br />of Colorado; <br />WHEREAS, City staff and the Louisville Historic Preservation Commission have <br />reviewed the application and found it to be in compliance with Chapter 3.20 of the <br />Louisville Municipal Code; and <br />WHEREAS, the Louisville Historic Preservation Commission held a properly, <br />noticed public hearing on the conservation easement application and has forwarded to <br />the City Council a recommendation of approval; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has duly considered the proposed conservation <br />easement application and the Commission's recommendation and report, and has held a <br />properly noticed public hearing on the application; and <br />WHEREAS, the front fagade of the primary structure at 601 Lincoln has social <br />significance because it exemplifies the cultural, political, economic, or social heritage of <br />the community; <br />WHEREAS, the front fagade of the primary structure at 601 Lincoln has <br />architectural significance due to its physical integrity and association with the historic era <br />in which it was built or altered; and <br />WHEREAS, the front fagade of the primary structure at 601 Lincoln has restoration <br />preservation work totaling over $60,000, a matching grant amount for which would be <br />$30,000; and <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />1. The proposed historic conservation easement application for the primary <br />structure at 601 Lincoln is hereby approved and is hereby granted a <br />conservation easement for the front fagade and first ten (10) feet of the <br />primary structure, as delineated in the conservation easement agreement. <br />Resolution No. 63, Series 2023 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
