Information/Discussion Item — Programming for September -December 2023 <br />• Committed Programming <br />i. Concerts on The Plaza — 9/5, 9/12, 9/19, 9/26 <br />ii. Salome Songbird — September 22 - sold out <br />iii. Crisosto Apache — September 27 <br />iv. Colorado Opera Artists in Residence — October 6 <br />v. Silent Film — October 13 <br />• Proposed Programming <br />i. "Celebrate Trans" — presentation by Sal Skog ($499) 11/20 <br />1. https://www.celebratetrans.com/ <br />-This item will be tabled until next month when we have more information <br />about potential photographers. <br />• Ideas for the rest of 2023 <br />i. The Polar Express reading- Children's programming. Possibly make this a <br />multiple event program since the cost of this is low. The contact of this is the head of the <br />children's program at the library. <br />ii. Caroler event - possibly at the ice rink. Let's see if they can incorporate other <br />holiday songs like Hanukkah. See if we can get a hot cocoa stand or food truck. <br />12. Action Item — Vote on "Celebrate Trans" presentation for November 20 <br />- See above, we will be tabling this item. <br />13. Discussion Item — 2023 Public Art <br />• LCC role- Sarah and Beth would like to know more about this transition and how the <br />LCC will be involved at all anymore. Beth suggested that we perhaps have a meeting with <br />Council Manager Jeff Durbin to learn more. <br />14. Discussion Item — 2023 LCC Holiday Dinner <br />• Should we celebrate? Possible dates? <br />- Beth moved that we do a LCC holiday dinner and to make December 14th the <br />LCC holiday dinner and that we will confirm once we confirm with JR. Beth <br />moves, Sarah seconds, no dissents. <br />15. Discussion Items for Next Meeting <br />- Extending timeline for the arts grants <br />- Email vote to approve Lose Cheesies and Groove-n-Motion <br />- Further discussing Trans Even <br />- Dialing down some November and December events. <br />- Confirming with JR Holiday dinner date. <br />16. Adjourn- 7:46pm Beth moves Sarah seconds, no dissents. <br />
