Commuting Patterns <br />According to ACS On <br />the Map data, just <br />under 14,500 workers <br />live outside but <br />commute into <br />Louisville (64% of <br />Louisville workers'). <br />Just under 7,200, or <br />32% of workers, live in <br />Louisville but <br />commute to another <br />location for work. <br />Finally, 941 workers, or <br />4%, both live and work <br />in Louisville. <br />Exhibit 31: Commuting Flows, Louisville, 2020 <br />Source: ACS On the Map Data <br />I <br />a <br />Lafayette <br />u <br />7,195 <br />941 <br />zee <br />P T <br />ECONorthwest also conducted additional research into commute flows over time for Louisville. <br />According to ECONorthwest data, in 2020 approximately 8,100 workers live in Louisville but <br />commute out, approximately 14,100 workers commute into Louisville, and roughly 1,100 <br />workers both live and work in Louisville. Over time, the number of workers commuting out of <br />Louisville has remained relatively stable, with a small drop of roughly 900 workers from 2019 to <br />2020 (around a 9% decrease). However, the number of workers commuting into Louisville has <br />increased more substantially over the past decade, with an increase of roughly 5,200 <br />commuters, or 58%, since 2010.Over the time period, the number of workers both living and <br />working in Louisville increased by around 200 workers, or 25%. <br />7 Louisville workers' as referenced in this report refers to workers who commute into Louisville for work but live <br />elsewhere, those that live in Louisville but work elsewhere, and those who both live and work in Louisville. <br />ECONorthwest <br />0 <br />36 <br />
