LL Cityof CITY COUNCIL COMMUNICATION <br />Louisville AGENDA ITEM 4E <br />COLORADO • SINCE 1878 <br />SUBJECT: APPOINTMENT OF COUNCILMEMBERS HAMLINGTON AND <br />HOEFNER TO SERVE ON COMMITTEE TO REVIEW BOARD <br />AND COMMISSION APPLICATIONS <br />DATE: NOVEMBER 6, 2023 <br />PRESENTED BY: MEREDYTH MUTH, CITY CLERK <br />SUMMARY: <br />The annual recruitment period for board and commission applicants ends November 13 <br />and Council will make the 2024 appointments to the various boards and commissions at <br />the December 19 City Council meeting. <br />Councilmembers Hamlington and Hoefner have volunteered to serve on a committee to <br />complete the initial review of the applications. The committee will then make a <br />recommendation to the full City Council on December 5 regarding who to appoint and/or <br />who to interview. <br />The Committee requests the Council call a special meeting on November 27 at 8:30 am <br />for the application review. Other members of Council may attend that meeting as well. <br />If needed, City Council will hold applicant interviews the evenings of December 11 and <br />12 at a Special City Council meeting. <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />None at this time. <br />PROGRAM/SUB-PROGRAM IMPACT: <br />The Governance and Administration Subprogram's goal is to ensure inclusive, <br />responsive, transparent, friendly, fiscally responsible, effective, and efficient <br />governance, administration, and support. Annually appointing members of the public to <br />serve on the City's various boards helps ensure that happens. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Appoint Councilmembers Hamlington and Hoefner to serve as a committee to review <br />the 2024 board and commission applications and schedule a special meeting for <br />application review on November 27 at 8.30 am. <br />ATTACHMENT(S): <br />1.
