An appointed Board or Commission <br />member may be removed during a term of office for cause as defined in the City Charter, <br />Resolution No. 16 Series 2009, and Resolution No. 59, Series 2016. Reasons for rejection or <br />removal from office include, without limitation, where a background investigation reveals an <br />arrest, conviction, or pending charges for a criminal offense (excluding minor traffic <br />violations). <br />• All information on this application is public record and may be available for public review. <br />• It is the policy of the City Council to make appointments to the citizen boards, commissions, <br />committees, and task forces based on the needs of the City as well as the interests and <br />qualifications of each applicant without discrimination based on race, color, national origin or <br />ancestry, gender, religious convictions, disability, age, or sexual orientation. <br />• It is the goal of Council when making board and commission appointments to maintain <br />members that can provide leadership and mentoring based on their experience while also <br />seeking new members to bring fresh ideas forward. <br />
