AUDIENCE COMMENTS cont'd

ALEX DOMENICO COMPLAINT
E & F INDUSTRIES

Mr. Brendon Moore representing Mr. Alex
Domenico presented Council with a peti-
tion with 70 names of persons requesting
the City of Louisville to take affirm-
ative action to determine the effects
of the activities of E. F. Industries,
Inc., on the City and to make recom-
mendations for the protection of the
people residing in the City.
Mayor Waschak informed Mr. Moore that
the City Council did visit with Mr.
Yoblin and he did review the operation
of the company to the parties present.
A blast was also made to form a part
during which time the Council persons
were stationed at different areas to
feel the concusion of the blast. The
blast made was stated as being the largest
blast which the company makes.
Councilman DelPizzo stated that Mrs.
Rizzi stated that the blast which was made
during Councils viewing was not has
bad as previous blasts.
Council stated their feelings on the blast
which took place as they felt it.
A suggestion was made that Council get
an impartial firm to record the size of
shock to determine the size of the blast.
Mr. Robert Davies suggested that Mr.
Nobel Ida be contacted and asked what
size blast is required for certain metals
and the size of the part being formed
which will give you an approximate size
of the charge being fired.
After discussion Councilman DelPizzo moved
that the City contact State and Federal
agencies within the week to have them
come to the City and make tests on the
blasting at E. & F. Industries and report
back to the City. Seconded by Council-
man DiCarlo. Mr. Robert Bassett stated
that the shocks from the blasting can
be felt at his residents on County Road
also, and that the charge that was shot
during Councils view was not as large as
a shot which was made December 2, 1975,
and Mr. Bassett felt this should be checked
into.
Steve Anderson stated that he felt it should
be the burden of the company to prove that
they are abiding by the regulations of
their blasting.

4.
