<br />INDUSTRIAL LAND cont'd <br /> <br />CAC APPOINTEMENT <br /> <br />COLORADO GEOLOGICAL SURVEY <br />(CGS) <br /> <br />After discussion Councilman Caranci <br />moved that the City authorize the con- <br />tract for sale of the Industrial Land <br />to Marvin Pierce & Seney DeYoana as <br />altered and amended. Seconded by Council- <br />man DiCarlo. Roll call. Domenico yes, <br />Berry yes, Dhieux yes, Caranci yes, <br />DelPizzo yes, DiCarlo yes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />CAC recommended by letter the approval <br />of Martin Dondelinger and Dick Colacci <br />to serve on the CAC Board. Councilman <br />DiCarlo moved that Dick Colacci and <br />Martin Dondelinger be approved to serve <br />on CAC. Seconded by Councilman Domenico. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated that Mr. Pat Rogers, <br />Chief Engineer Enviroment Geological <br />Survey, of Colorado Geological Survey (CGS) <br />was in attendance to discuss their in- <br />terpretation of subsidence which involves <br />the City. Mr. Wurl stated that Mr. <br />Dave Bucknam and Dave Shelton were also <br />in attendance from the state along with <br />Mr. Andy Deborski, Chief Coal Mining <br />Inspector, and Charles Robinson, Geo- <br />logist. <br />Mr. Rogers stated that the extensive <br />study on subsidence was not directed <br />to anyone community. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that Mr. Rogers had <br />sent a letter in regards to explanation <br />of the study. <br />Councilman DelPizzo asked Mr. Rogers to <br />what extent did CGS base their survey. <br />Mr. Rogers stated that the interpretations <br />of the report are based almost entirely <br />on available records both legal and <br />informal. <br />Councilman Berry stated the City needs <br />guidelines from the state as to how ex- <br />tensive the studies are to be before <br />they will be accepted by the state. <br />Mr. Wurl asked Mr. Rogers if he felt <br />that there was any difference in low, <br />moderate and high hazard subsidence. <br />Mr. Rogers stated that he felt that <br />when there is future development, studies <br />should be made as to the extent of sub- <br />sidence. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that he was under the <br /> <br />-4- <br />
