SPEED LIMIT SO. BOULDER RD.

DUMPING FOR CAMPER TRAILERS

Councilman Domenico stated that he was asked
to see if the speed limit going out on South
Boulder Rd. could be raised. Mr. Wurl stated
that it is now under consideration, not only
going out of the City but also entering the City.
He stated that he would have a recommendation
at the next council meeting.

Councilman DiCarlo stated that he had been asked
about a designated area for the dumping of trailers.
Mr. Wurl stated that he would have comment at the
next meeting.

Councilman Berry reported on the Municipal League
Convention. He stated that during a session the
League did agree to study the situation which was
brought up to the Supreme Court regarding H.B.
1041. They will not take sides but they do intend
to do whatever necessary to protect the rightfull
powers of the municipalities as opposed to com-
missioners and district judges. Other Council
members stated their views on several of the
meetings attended at the convention.

Councilman Domenico stated that he received a
phone call that the stop sign at Roosevelt
and Lois Dr. was stole, however, it was back
up the same day.

Councilman DelPizzo asked if the County or City
would be spraying for mosquitoes. Mr. Wurl
stated that there has been only bad reports on
spraying. He stated that Mr. Freiberg of Boulder
County Health has been working very hard on the
project however, spraying is against the law for
the City as a whole. Individuals may pur-
chase bug spray and spray themselves if they wish.
He stated that the State Air Pollution laws pro-
hibit spraying and there are substantial fines
that can be applied. Mr. Wurl also stated that
the last time the County sprayed, persons with
respiratory problems became sick. Mr. Wurl
stated that the one way a permit could be issued
is if there is a case of insufilitus. It was
stated that there was one case of the sickness
within the City. Mrs. Norman Laurence at 705
Grant is recovering from it.

REPORT MUNICIPAL LEAGUE
CONVENTION

STOP SIGN

MOSQUITOES

Councilwoman Dhieux moved that the reports be
accepted.
