COUNCIL ITEMS cont'd SALES TAX REPORT SUPPORT OF ROUSE BILL 1092 B.S.C.S. BUILDING APPROVAL COUNCIL COMMENTS & COMMITTEE REPORTS L.R.A. -2- Mr. Wurl informed Council about what was needed in regards to the sales tax. After comments Councilman Berry moved that Council instruct the City Attorney to have a local ordinance providing for sales tax and use tax to be presented on the voting machine at the next City election. Seconded by Councilwoman Dhieux. Roll call. Domenico yes, Berry yes, Scholl yes, Dhieux yes, DelPizzo yes, DiCarlo yes. Motion carried. Mr. Wurl informed Council that R.B.l092 is another version of R.B. 1156 of last year. It is a land use measure and in- corporated in it is the exact wording that was asked to be incorporated in the present bill which did not get in Mr. Wurl stated that it permits Cities to develop comprehensive planning areas and urban service areas. After dis- cussion Councilman DiCarlo moved that Council approve the recommendation of the Colorado Municipal League in total, including the rejection of requiring elections. Seconded by Councilwoman Dhieux. Motion carried. Mr. Wurl informed Council that B.S.C.S. requested approval of a proposed storage building. Planning Commission approved the plans and requested a letter be sent supporting the building. After discussion Councilman Berry moved that the recommendation from Planning Commission be followed and a letter sent to the Planning Office and County Commissioners in support of the request. Seconded by Councilman DiCarlo. Motion carried. Councilman Berry asked where L.R.A. would be drawing funds to purchase property for L.C.D.C. to build low and moderate income dwellings. Mr. Steve Anderson stated that he felt the minutes were mistyped. Mr. Anderson explained what was to be meant regarding the paragraph in question. Councilman Berry moved that Council request a letter from L.R.A.
