STREET SIGNS FIREMAN TRUCK SENIOR CITIZEN PROGRAM STREET DIPS & SIDEWALKS STREET IN FRONT OF STEINBAUGHS L.U.R.A. APPOINTMENT MAIL BOXES WOOD BROTHERS SUBDIVISION -5- Mr. Wurl informed Council and the citi- zens that it would be approximately 6 weeks for street signs,traffic signs about three weeks. Councilman DelPizzo stated that he had recieved calls in regards to the Hunga- rian truck which was owned by the City. Questions were brought up as to why the truck was not put up for bid before sale. Mr. Wurl stated that the truck was in the fire deparment name and that the could do what they want with it. Councilman DiCarlo stated he would check into the matter. Councilwoman Dhieux asked what amount of City money if any would be taken from the City for the program. Mr. Wurl stated that Parks & Rec did budget for the expense of the senior citizen program. Councilman DelPizzo requested that a special meeting be held to discuss the funding to improve the street dips and fix the sidewalks which have high curbs. Councilman DelPizzo stated that he did give the City Engineer information in regards to the streets which should be looked into. Mr. Wurl stated that the matter is being worked on. Mr. Wurl informed Council that work has been started to clean up that area and the stree will be open soon. A request to have John Stead placed on the Board replacing George Stead was read. Councilwoman Scholl moved that John Stead be appointed to the L.U.R.A. Board. Seconded by Councilman Berry. Motion carried. Mrs. Shipton stated that the citizens in the Wood Brothers subdivision have to place their mail boxes in the City ease- ment on the curb in front of their homes. Her request was to have the City deny permission to have the boxes in that ease- ment so the boxes can be placed on the houses. She felt that there would be many problems with curb delivery with small children and vandals. After discussion
