-3- PLANNING GRANTS cont'd was approved earlier by Council for DRCOG. Seconded by Councilwoman Dhieux. Motion carried. Councilman Berry moved that the Mayor be authorized to sign the contract which was approved earlier by Council for Oblinger/Smith. Seconded by Coun- cilman Domenico. Motion carried. PARK & REC CARPET Councilman DelPizzo moved that the Parks & Rec be allowed to carpet the control area adjacent to the pool. Seconded by Councilwoman Scholl. Roll call. Domenico no, Berry no, Scholl yes, Dhieux yes, DelPizzo yes, DiCarlo yes. Motion carried. PARKS & REC BUS It was brought up to Council the request for the Parks & Rec department to pur- chase a bus for the programs. After discussion on insurance and the age of the bus Councilwoman Scholl moved that Parks & Rec be denied permission to purchase a bus of any type. Seconded by Councilman Berry. Roll call on motion. Domenico yes, Berry yes, Scholl yes, Dhieux yes, DelPizzo yes, DiCarlo yes. Motion carried. WATER Mayor Waschak asked Mr. Wurl why the water had been tasting so badly. He stated that the reason was new pipes were being put in and there was an over abundance of cholorine in the water. LONG RANGE PLANNING A question was brought up as to the representation of Louisville to the Long Range Planning Program. Mr. Jack Lang is the City representative but had not been to any Council meetings previously except for one. It was suggested that the Board of County Commissioners be asked how Mr. Langs attendance at the meetings was. It was requested that Mr. Lang be notified to attend the next Council meeting for a report. Mr. Wurl stated that the County Com- missioners picked the representatives.
