COUNCIL ITEMS VARRA LETTER cont{d Mayor of Sterling where the contest is being held in which her daughter will be competing for a Little Miss type title. Mr. Wurl is to check into the matter. Councilman Berry stated that he felt the City should take legal steps to transfer water shares and point of diversion. He also stated that there was ~ a share of Howard Water which he would like to check into the purchasing of. CAC RECOMMENDATIONS Mr. Wurl read the recommendations from CAC. He then read the remarks from the Planning Commission on CAC recommendations. A memo from the City Engineer was also read in regards to the CAC recommendations. Mr. Wurl stated that the response back to CAC should state: 1. The City is looking for industrial annexations and zoning. 2. Basically the same situation with the water as the industrial devel- opment. 3. Annexations have to viewed as they come up. Councilman DiCArlo moved that the Planning Commission recommendation and staff recommendations be approved and sent to CAC. Seconded by Councilwoman Dhieux. Motion carried. LEGAL NOTICE PRINT SIZE Councilwoman Scholl stated that she was informed that there was another size that could be used to print the legal notices. The publisher of Lafayette paper stated that there were two sizes that could be used. 6 pt. is state law however 9 pt. could be used. The difference would be in the billing of the notice as it is done by lines and the larger print would be higher even though there is a 5% discount because of the use of the larger print. Coun- cilman DiCarlo moved that the City con- tinue with 6 pt. print for legal notices. Seconded by Councilman Domenico. A suggestion was made that when the bulletin board is put up outside City Hall that a copy of the Ordinances be put up there to be read. Vote on motion 3 - 3. Mayor Waschak voted yes.
