Roll call vote - Debor~ki <br />yes, King yes, Jensen yes, Scholl yes, Domenico yes. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />City Administrator Wurl explained the Building In- <br />spector had recently received a letter from the <br />State of Colorado outlining the problems associated <br />with it being illegal for certain fireplaces to be <br />located in mobile homes. This information was <br />givE~n to Council members in case they received <br />calls from the Trailer Park regarding the situation. <br /> <br />Councilman Deborski commented he understood the <br />City had acquired an additional staff member, and <br />he wished to know what his status was. <br />Administrator Wurl explained that the opportunity <br />had arisen to hire a very qualified man to assist <br />the building inspector and engineering department, <br />and since he had checked with Council at the various <br />budget meetings had requested his services. <br />After discussion, Mayor Caranci suggested hence- <br />forth when a position of this type arises, a pub- <br />lication be made and applications taken. <br /> <br />Councilman Jensen gave a report from DRCOG that <br />a public hearing would be held at 7:30 P.H. on <br />Wednesday, December 5th, 1973 at the Colorado Divi- <br />sion of Hiways Auditorium, 4201 E. Arkansas Ave., <br />Denver, Colorado on proposed plan policies and <br />regional land use, street and hiways, public trans- <br />portation - through the joint Regional Planning <br />Commission. Councilman Jensen then stated he would <br />be going down to the meeting and invited any of <br />the Council elect to go with him or anyone else <br />that vwuld care to go. Councilwoman Scholl stated <br />she may wish to attend. <br /> <br />Councilman King suggested Council and Council elect <br />be given a tour of the new Sanitation plant and City <br />garage. The time for this tour was set ~t 4:00 P.M. <br />Saturday, December 8, 1973. <br /> <br />Mr. Howard Louvier of the Trailer Park asked Council's <br />op~nion of the letter from the State regarding <br />fireplaces in mobile homes. He felt it was very <br />discriminatory. He also asked if there were any <br />recourse to this law? <br />After discussion, City Administrator Wurl advi~ed <br />that the City would obtain a copy of the code 1n <br />question from the State Dept. <?f H<?using and <;111 <br />the mobile home owners could V1ew 1t at any t1me. <br /> <br />Page - 3 - <br />
