<br />REGULAR MEETING <br /> <br />LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />DEcm.mER 18, 1973 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Hayor Lawrence Caranci at 7:30 P.H. with <br />Council members Deborski, King, Jensen, Scholl and Domenico present. Absent <br />Councilman Donovan, City Attorney Morris and City Clerk McNulty. Also <br />present were City Administrator Wurl, and City Treasurer Hesson. <br /> <br />ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES: <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> <br />COUNCIL ITEHS: <br />LIONS CLUB REQUEST <br /> <br />LOUISVILLE WEST ANNEXA- <br />TION PETITION (SPROUL) <br /> <br />Councilman Jensen moved that the minutes of last <br />meeting be accepted as presented. Seconded by <br />Councilwoman Scholl. All in favor. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Councilman King moved that the correspondence be <br />accepted and brought up under the proper heading <br />of business. Seconded by Councilman Domenico. <br />All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />City Administrator Wurl advised Council that the <br />Lions Club request was the same as previous years. <br />They wanted to know if Council would guarantee <br />funds to offset costs on the candy for the child- <br />ren. <br />Councilman King moved that Council guarantee to <br />offset costs of the candy for the children on <br />Christmas Eve as requested by the Lions Club. <br />Seconded by Councilwoman Scholl. All in favor. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />City Administrator Wurl introduced Hr. William <br />McDowall and Mr. Howard Cox, representatives of <br />Sproul Home, Inc. Hr. Cox then presented Council <br />with two phases of the request for annexation - <br />one, the petition for annexation, and two - certi- <br />fication of the property owners within 300 feet <br />from the Title Company; the required 4 copies <br />of the annexation maps and proposed zoning maps. <br />They also had a check in the amount of $16,000.00 <br />for the first phase of the annexation. Mr. <br />McDowall informed Council some changes would have <br />to be made in the first phase as the School Board <br />had had a meeting and their attorney stated he <br />was greatly concerned that a precedent might be <br />set. Consequently, the Board had decided to <br />table the annexation as presented to them. Mr. <br />McDowall then went on to say, it was of his <br />opinion Council would like to consider the entire <br />project and they were asking Council to do this, <br />and then turn it over to the Planning Commission. <br />
