Regular Meeting PARKS & RECRE- ATION TERM OF OFFICE TRASH PICKUP BUS SCHEDULE FUTURE INDUSTRY ADJOuRNMENT Louisville City Council May 15, 1973 cussion and review it was the best judgement of the City Attorney and myself it would be easier and less expen- sive to go down our own property. Councilman King inquired what the term of office is for Parks & Recreation Members. Chairman Keith Helart reported the term was two years. Councilman King inquired you have $57,000 - will you 'come to us before the term expires with a definite program? Chairman Helart assured him that the~ P&R Board would do so. Councilman Donovan reported we never act on things brought up before Council. Mandatory trash pickup has been brought up three or four times and no discussion or action taken. Let's carry this out. Councilman King moved that City Administrator Wurl and City Attorney Morris be instructed to pursue the method or means of compulsory trash pick- up in the City of Louisville. Seconded by Councilman Donovan. Roll call vote Deborski yes, King yes, Jensen no, Donovan yes, Scholl yes, Domenico yes. Motion carried. We should get one of the local business men to let us post a sign of bus schedule. Percy Connaroe remarked \Ne do not have a place to pick up the people and they have to stand out in the weather. The Bus Company should share a little of the responsibility in helping to obtain a place. Mayor Caranci suggested that a Committee be appointed to talk with the Bus Company. Councilman Donovan moved the Hayor choose a Cormnittee and set up a bus stop with indoor facilities. Seconded by Councilman Jensen. All in favor. Motion carried. Mayor Caranci appointed Councilmen Jensen, Scholl and Donovan to act on this committee. Councilman Donovan suggested a need for more industry. The Harney property was discussed. Cormnent made that this property is all undemnined and in Estate. Councilman King suggested the industrial area should go southwest, and recommended a joint meeting with the Planning Commission and Citizens Advisory Committee. City Administrator Wurl inqured as to what kind of industry Council wished. Councilman Jensen moved to have a meeting with Planning Commission, Citizens Ad- visory Comrnittee and to encourage industry within the City of Louisville sometime in June and to decide what type, kind and qualifications. SEconded by Council- man Donovan. All in favor. Motion carried. Councilman Donovan requested to see the fire report on the theater; also he would like to have something definite on how the Junk Ordinance could be enforced. City Administrator Wurl expressed his desire to include recodification of all ordinances in next year's budget. Councilman Jensen moved for adjourment. Seconded by Councilman Domenico. All in favor. MOtion carried.
