2. Fire DepartJlent Comm.ittee: Chief/ Bill Ryan stated that they have 115 signed for rural fire protection and anticipate more at $25.00 each per year. The rural fire truck will be trans- fered from the rural fire district to the City of Louisville. Remaining fire funds ..left in the rural district freasury will be giveVone half to Sbperior and the other half to Cherryvale. Jensen said we can't do much about it until it is discussed, justification and need. Motion by Jensen seconded by Deborski to prepare justification for new truck in compliance with the report from the fire committee. Mot-;on carried. Deborski ~st1dned ; what equipment will be for the rural district? Ryan replied that the rural truck and emergency will be used. Chief Ryan requested that time be extended for 'signing of people Motion by Donovan to extend fire protection time to April 4th. It will require Bome positive ipdications, Title to truck and evidence of formation of new area . Attorney suggested a map and tacks be used to indicate territory of new area. Seconded by Deborski Motion carr;ied. Resolution read for Hancock and Johnston in regards to annex- ation of darney Village an'; are" lying to the west of the City limits. City Administrators Report: A letter was read from Mr. Arlo Wilson in r(.;gards to a raise of Policemans Pension. He re- quested that he be paid one half of Sargeants pay. .fter some discussion Attorney Morris refered to the state statutes and informed Council they ~ould .not act on this matter but it was up to ....the Policemen Pension Board. Mayor Caranei will call a meeting of tiis board sometime during the week of Februat"y 21st. Requested permission from Clyweke to move fehce at the water plant, permission was granted as long as the fence is replaced after completion. , Bid sheets have been sent out for work at filter plant. Closing date March 10th at 10 A. M.. Depor2ki recommended that Ken Bruns set up meeting for dates of schedules of completibn to sub con- tractors. CAP has not submitted preformance bond to date. Three councilmen were present to go'to the filter plant for oren- tat ion on the plant.
