<br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />APRIL 4, 1912' <br /> <br />Regular meeting called to order by Mayor Lawrence Caranci. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL: <br /> <br />Present Deborski, King, Jensen, Donovan, Domenico <br /> <br />ACCEDTANCE OF MI\~JTES: Accepted after correction. <br /> <br />Represenative of Oblinger-Smith, Mr. Miller, was present to discuss a <br /> <br />comprehensllle plan which is necessary before requesting a grant. <br />The metropolitan area has $80,000. to be distributed by August 1st. <br />Applications that have ,already been received are .Lafayette $15,000. <br />Glendale $10,000. and ~ommerce ~ity 40 to 45 thousand, these three <br />Cities will be given priority on distribution of this money. Cost <br />of study would be $9,900. payable in thee payment of $3,300. each. <br />Comprehensive plan can be utilized in future to obtain more money. <br />Sketch plan will be completed by May 15th. Deborski asked if they <br />would guarenteethat comprhensive plan will be satisfactory to H.U.D.? <br />King any program under wa.y.cannot be funded. <br />Donovan go ahead for $9,900. <br />Motion by Maxwell that the Mayor be instructed toact for the City of <br />Louisville and to enter jnto the planning service contract with Oblinger- <br />Smith and our Dr. CO~ represenatives be instructed to proceed on a <br />parallel basis in an effort to secure funding for assi::tance on this <br />planseconded by Donovan. <br />REMARKS: <br />King cannot sign contract and attempt to fund it after it is signed. <br />Maxwell we have sat around to long. <br />Mr. Miller of Oblinger-Smith Stated that ~. B. and C of the contract <br />is completed:'fee for this c,~l!IP_l~t-ion is $4,150.00. Then go after <br />funding for rest of work ~~ contract #701. <br />Percy We want it understood that a stronger emriromenta1 impact <br />survey is necessary. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE on the motion Deborski yes, King yes, Jensen yes Donovan <br />yes, Maxwell yes, Domenico yes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />WATER COMt'lITTEE: Councilman King reported that recommendation on revis- <br />ing water policy we'll hold final'"discussion on proposed changes April <br />18th. It was also indicated a study to be made in regards to water <br />charges, the number of people in a house and an amount irrigated. <br />Motion by King ~ ~ ~ TB modify water policy resolution chang- <br />ing title to "'Annexation Water Policyll Section 3 subsection 13 also <br />be revised on April 18th. Seconded by Jensen. Motion carried. <br /> <br />FIREMEN: Chief Bill ~yan on rural fire protection 150 applications <br />and $1,000. has ~)een rE~ceived and is certain that more will be forth- <br />comming. Chief Ryan ha:s talked with MBrV'. .Larsen, secretary of the old <br />rural di~trict and inforred Bill that the title to the rural truck was <br />in the" mail. Deborski questioned how they w01.lld handle the proposed <br />rural district? Chief hyan stated the CitY' truck will not leave the City. <br />Motion by Deborslft seconded by i.J onoY'an that the l"ire DeDartment go ahead <br />with proposed ru~al area. Motion carried. <br />
