<br />City Council <br />Study Session Summary <br />July 14, 2009 <br />Library Meeting Room <br />951 Spruce Street <br />7:00 <br />PM <br />The City Council of the City of Louisville met in a study session at 7:00 p.m. in <br />st <br />the 1 Floor Library Meeting Room, 851 Spruce Street, Louisville, Colorado. The <br />following persons were present - <br />City Council Present: Mayor Chuck Sisk <br />Dave Clabots <br />Frost Yarnell <br /> City Council Absent: Mayor Pro-Tem Sheri Marsella <br /> Hank Dalton <br /> Bob Muckle <br /> Ron Sackett <br /> Staff Present: Heather Balser, Deputy City Manager <br />Rhonda Welborn, Executive Assistant <br />Joe Stevens, Director of Parks and Recreation <br /> Carol Hanson, Deputy City Clerk <br /> Claudine Low, Senior Services Supervisor <br />Senior Advisory Board (SAB) <br />Connie Howes, SAB Chair, presented an overview of the Senior Program, <br />reviewed four areas of concern and discussed the overall mission of the Senior <br />Advisory Board. <br />Addressing Basic Needs <br /> – 2008 Accomplishments. SAB members reviewed <br />the City’s comprehensive plan for Senior Housing in Louisville. Members <br />emphasized that “visitability” is part of the City’s comprehensive plan. Key <br />features in housing for Seniors integrated into this plan were addressed. <br />Seniors are living well in our community. SAB members believe this is due to the <br />independent living options.
